I've seen on posts that a few of the boys here do/have done FIFO so thought I'd ask!
Been getting serious about getting into FIFO lately, talked to a couple people I know who have done it and have been told it's more of a 'who you know' to get in is this fairly true?
I'm a chef by trade with some bulk cooking experience and figured that's what I'd be most likely to get into, would be happy with anything though tbh.
I feel an Issue is I live in Vic and seems to be limited work out from here. I'm wanting to move to WA or QLD anyway but it would obviously be a lot more secure with a job lined up. If I landed a job I'd move tomorrow.
Any advice when applying for out of state roles? Anything special to put on a resume to have them notice me? Do not tell them I'm from interstate or will they not hire if so. Will they ask for face to face interviews still?
I've started to send off a few resumes and applications into job agencies also.
